Seperating the girls from the boys

Saturday my mom and I took Alexandra and Vanessa to Spokane for a little shopping while Derek took Xavier and Eli to Tri-cities for a hockey game. It was kind of bitter sweet. I have been wanting to get out of town ever since I started working but I sort of expected the boys to be excited for me to come home or want to go with me. They wanted to be with dad. It ended up being harder for me than it was for them. I have been away during the day but they are home when I get home. This time I left while they were still sleeping and they got home late so they had fallen asleep in the car. As much as they can drive me crazy by hanging on me all day and needing me to do every little thing for or with them, it is hard having them not need me so much. I am excited that my kids are at ages where we can start doing more as a family and doing things everyone can enjoy. Spring is here and I am excited to be outside. It seems there is more to do when the weather is warm. Or maybe I am just more willing to do them when the weather is warm.

I just noticed you were added to Alisha's blog friends. You really have cute kids especially little Vanessa. It was good to hear that Derek is will to take the boys to do things with Dad. A lot of Dad's won't do those things. Keep it up. Looks like your house is finally, almost finished. Hallejulah.
